Scuba Kings Academy began as a dream over 16 years ago, when we first set up shop in Mactan with little more than a few tanks, a lot of passion, and a deep love for the ocean. Since then, our journey has taken us across the Philippines—from those early days in Mactan to our thriving dive shop in Malapascua, and now to our newest home in Panglao. Each step has been shaped by the same values: community, conservation, and a commitment to doing things right.
We’ve always believed that a dive shop should be more than just a business—it should feel like home. That’s why we’ve built Scuba Kings Academy around people first: our team, our students, and the local communities we work with. We’re proud to be SDI-certified, but even prouder of the connections we’ve made and the ocean we continue to protect. Ruvi
Head of Training
Meet Ruvi, our Instructor Trainer, IEC Examiner, and tech diver with thousands of certifications to his name. His expertise ensures top-tier training for every diver. When he’s not teaching, Ruvi is a medic and a dedicated Red Cross volunteer, always ready to help on land or underwater.

General Manager
Meet Dan, our GM and Instructor. With a sharp eye for detail and a passion for teaching, Dan keeps everything running smoothly while delivering top-tier dive instruction. When he's not diving, he’s energizing his routine with Muay Thai.
Annabelle
Fun Dives Organizer
Annabelle, our talented Divemaster and fun dive organizer, brings excitement and passion to every dive. Her calm confidence and love for the underwater make divers feel supported and inspired. When she’s not in the ocean, you’ll find her expressing her creativity through art or training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Meet Leon, one of our dive instructors with roots in Bohol and a global spirit shaped by life in both the Philippines and Germany. Beyond diving, he’s all about music, design, and mixing up the island’s best cocktails.

Meet Mai, a dedicated dive instructor who traded a nursing career for a life beneath the waves. With years of teaching experience in Puerto Galera and Panglao, she brings skill, heart, and a deep love for the ocean to every dive.

Speed Boat Expert
Axel is our speedboat specialist who ensures every adventure is smooth, safe, and full of excitement. He knows the local waters like the back of his hand, and delivers top-tier experiences with a smile—though you’ll be lucky to see it, as his face is almost always covered by his trademark bandana.

Epoy is our trusted driver who keeps every excursion running smoothly and stress-free. Known for his kind nature and easygoing vibe, he brings comfort and good energy to every ride. With Epoy at the wheel, your adventure starts the moment you hop onboard.
