Panglao Open Water Diver Course - Inclusions and Itinerary
It's good to know what to expect on your scuba Open Water Course so you can easily fix your Panglao vacation itinerary. Let's start with the tentative itinerary of your Open Water Course (as the exact timing can differ according to availability):
Open Water Diver Course | Day 1:
The first day of the course is dedicated to learning the necessary skills for becoming an open-water diver. We'll start the day with an equipment assembly class in which you'll learn to assemble, check, and even treat and maintain life-supporting equipment and convenience equipment you'll use in all scuba dives.
Right after, we'll continue to the pool / confined water area for your confined water training, in which we'll learn all the basic scuba skills: finding the regulator, mask clearing, sharing air, equipment removal, fin pivot, calf release, breathing from an overflowing regulator, swimming ascent, and more.
Duration: Half a day
Open Water Diver Course | Day 2:
This day, we'll perform two open-water dives in the ocean! You'll get to practice your buoyancy and perform some of the confined water skills in real life. This is the day you get to experience scuba Diving in reality, while we ensure you're diving in a safe environment under the watchful eyes of our instructors.
Duration: Half a day
Open Water Diver Course | Day 3:
The last day of your OWD course will include two dives in which you'll get to hone your buoyancy skills and perform more elaborate skills in the ocean: swimming ascent, and equipment removal and replacement. Congratulations, by the end of this day, you'll become an internationally certified open water diver!

Where do we dive, and how to book?
Throughout your course, most of our dives will take place around the Alona Beach side of Panglao, where we can choose from a variety of dive sites such as Kalipayan and PPB. Depending on weather and sea conditions, we may also head to Panglao’s northern coast and explore sites around Doljo or Napaling.
