Doljo area offers two exceptional dive sites: Doljo and Doljo Point. Both are located on the northwestern tip of Panglao Island. These sites are known for their dramatic topography, featuring sloping reefs, deep walls, and vibrant coral formations. With healthy marine life, schools of snapper, turtles, and occasional pelagics, both sites provide a rich and colorful diving experience that often flies under the radar.
This area is wonderful for wide-angle photography, thanks to the massive sponges and thriving hard corals. With great visibility and typically mild currents, Doljo and Doljo Point are favorites among divers seeking stunning underwater scenery without the crowds.
Doljo
Located just off the northwestern coast of Panglao, Doljo offers a gently sloping reef that transitions into a vibrant coral landscape rich with life. The site is ideal for relaxed exploration, featuring large table corals, barrel sponges, and schooling reef fish. Watch for turtles cruising by, frogfish hiding among the sponges, and occasional sightings of pelagics along the deeper sections.
Doljo Point
Situated at the outer edge of the Doljo reef system, Doljo Point drops dramatically into the deep, with a steep wall that begins around 20 meters. The site is known for its impressive coral coverage, massive sponges, and excellent visibility. Drift along the wall to spot nudibranchs, reef fish, sea snakes, and sometimes eagle rays gliding through the blue. It’s a perfect mix of macro and wide-angle diving.
