Panglao Divemaster Course - What you'll learn
A divemaster course is the most intense course any scuba diver takes. It's the course that will lay the foundation of your personal and professional skills. Therefore, you'll expect to reach mastery in the following areas.
Personal Scuba Diving Skills - Divemaster Level
Improve your scuba diving skills: finning techniques, neutral buoyancy, and body positions are the fundamental skills scuba diving relies on. Your instructors will mentor you throughout the path of perfecting them.
Scuba Diving Theoretical Knowledge - Divemaster Level
As a divemaster, you're mandated to deepen your scuba diving theoretical knowledge. Learning the ins and outs of physics, physiology, scuba equipment, the marine environment, and professional standards will make you a better diver and an apt leader.
Scuba Diving Skill Demonstration
Perfect your skill circuit to demonstration-level. You'll learn how to perform all the skills you learned in previous courses as a pro.
Scuba Diving Guiding
Guiding and leading dives is the most important part of a divemaster's job. You'll learn how to guide scuba divers of different skill levels, troubleshoot problems, and instill confidence in your divers.

Panglao Divemaster Course Plan
Our divemaster course takes 3 weeks for optimal skill building in all the aforementioned areas. Our itinerary is flexible but generally follows this plan:
DM Course Week 1: Personal Skills Development
The first week is dedicated to upping your personal scuba skillset. You'll learn to perfect the following - finning techniques, skill demonstration, self-rescue skills, and panicked diver and unconscious diver rescue skills. You'll also learn different types of sea entries and exits, mapping, and the usage of a lift-bag.
DM Course Week 2: Guiding and Leadership Development:
This is the time to start developing yourself as a scuba professional guide. You'll learn how to conduct briefing, a debriefing, dive planning, and guiding underwater. You'll also learn how to identify and solve diving-related problems before, during, and after the dive.
DM Course Week 3: Internship
Put all you've learned in the first two weeks into action! Experience actual guiding, course assistance, and working in a diving center.
Panglao Divemaster Course Pricing
Our divemaster course costs only ₱67,500, all-inclusive, without hidden charges for the 3-week course with equipment, registration fees, and learning materials. Every extra week of training if necessary or desired will cost ₱5,000.
Personal Attention
Our professional instructors will spend a lot of time with you and the other DMTs. Small group settings make sure that every Divemaster Trainee is receiving the attention needed for their personal progress.
Real Professional Experience
Our DMTs get to participate in actual diving center activity! We make sure that the theoretical becomes practical by assisting instructors and leading actual fun divers.
International Experience
Scuba Tribe is an international diving center, and you'll get to intern in a multicultural and multilingual setup. You'll learn to feel comfortable with the multiculturalism of the diving industry.
